Douala : Drama Festival Opens To Public

“Compto'Art54” offers a moment to celebrate artistic culture as a poetic act that contributes to strengthening the unity of peoples, living together and arouse the dream of fraternity.
Drama artists at the Koz'art association, a professional theatre company in Douala, is preparing for the seventh annual Drama Festival which will take place at the Maison de la Danse et de la Culture in Bali, Douala, from June 8-11, 2022.
Christened “Compto'Art54,” the festival includes two performances every day from 3pm, two of which have been created by Koz'art.
“There will be plenty of contents to thrill spectators, and entrance is free to all throughout,” Beatrice Chatzak and Champleins Ludovic Ngahenou, organisers of the festival at Koz'art association, told a news conference at the venue of the festival on June 1, 2022.
They explained that the theme of the festival, “Beyond borders; theater as a tool for reconstructing imaginations” inspires hope and humanity and will be a safeguard for all works that will be performed. The theme will also run two workshops on interpretation techniques and a debate-conference as part of activities that will take place during the festival.
