Keep Talking

After several years of wrangling, news coming from Sudan might be very welcoming. To hear that pro-democracy leaders known as, Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC), have met with the ruling Military Government to seek ways of ending the unrest in the country since the overthrow of Omar Al-Bashir is something that merits standing ovation. Though for now nothing has trickled out from what they did discussed, the organisers of the historic meeting, Molly Phee, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaffar, should be encouraged to keep the different stakeholders permanently connected. 
For the putting in place of a dialogue platform should pave the way for the mediators to continue finding the right words to convince those who have been camping on their positions to be flexible in their proposals. This is more urgent because since the overthrow of Omar-Al-Bashir, a lot of blood has gone down the streets, many people displaced and material damage hurge. The military government under General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan knows that if it continues to stubbornly grip on to power, it might witness the same fate like the ex- dictator Omar Al-Bashir. Thus, it is largely for her interest to open up during talks by making many concessions.
