Agriculture, Fisheries : Practical School Envisaged In SW

The President of CAPEF, Mindjos Momeny Martin Paul, was in Buea on June 1, 2022 for a maiden tour and assurance.

Appointed last 24 February, 2021, by Presidential decree, the new President of the Chamber of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock and Forest of Cameroon (CAPEF), Mindjos Momeny Martin Paul, was in the South West Region recently on his maiden tour to meet the members on the ground, personnel as well as observe infrastructure under his care.
While in Buea, capital of the South West Region, Mindjos Momeny described the area as charming, rich and dynamic. He announced the possible creation of a “Practical School of Agriculture and Fisheries in Mounde based in Buea Subdivision. According to the Chamber President, the Buea-based school shall deliver high vocational training in productive domains of agriculture, agro-industry, fishery, livestock and wood. He added that the school would help its trainees get financing from CAPEF and its various partners. While calling on youths in the rural areas to seize the opportunity, the Chamber President explained that it was a move to assist the youth create businesses, occupy them and let them contribute to national wealth.
The CAPEF President used his field visit to Buea on June 1, 2022 to call on potential and existing members of the chamber to register massively and pay their dues in order to enjoy the multiple benefits from CAPEF.
