Estelle Johnson : The Dependable Pillar

Central defender, Estelle Johnson has written her name in history as the player who scored the first goal for Cameroon in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nation’s. She achieved this during the game pitting Cameroon against Togo on July 6, 2022 in Casablanca, Morocco. The Gotham FC’s defender tactfully connected a free kick taken by Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene and brilliantly headed the ball into the net. 
Before and after this goal, she played key roles in controlling Cameroon’s defence by tactfully derailing actions that could have put the Lionesses in danger. Her swift nature could highly be seen in the action which caused a penalty against Cameroon.
