Silicon Mountain Summit : Tech Entrepreneurs Seek Local Trust

Software engineers and digital experts within Silicon Mountain in Buea have indicated that they have the expertise to successfully do any job entrusted to them in Cameroon. As such, there is no need hiring experts from abroad when they can suitably do the job. The tech entrepreneurs gathered in Buea on November 10, 2022 for a three-day conference within the framework of the fourth edition of Silicon Mountain summit on the theme “Local solutions for a sustainable digital economy.”
Laye Mbunkur, Blue Moon outsourcing and construction, said the conference aimed at bringing together the different stakeholders to create space for local solutions. He added that multinationals, local institutions and individuals keep using solutions from outside of the country whereas they (Silicon Mountain) have the experts to deliver on any tech job. “We want the public to know that we are able as a community to build solutions that could address local problems in a sustainable way,” he said confidently. 
Ayuk Etta, Chairman of the organizing committee of Silicon Mountain 2022, said that they came together to support technology built by young entrepreneurs that can shape the future of Cameroon in all walks of life. “We believe technology and innovation are essential parts of Cameroon’s sustainable future and economy,” Ayuk Etta said.  ...
