MTN Elite Two : Three Straight Wins For Foncha Street

The MTN Elite Two Championship has resumed with match day 4 after the World Cup break. A total of six matches have been played. The first match was that which saw AS FAP beat newly promoted Aigle of Moungo 4-2 on December 20, 2022. The remaining five matches were played on Wednesday December 21, 2022. Foncha Street maintained their position as leaders after winning their third match against Stade Bertoua (2-1). The club is the only outfit to have recorded three straight victories and are leading with nine points.
Newly promoted side Victoria United are second with seven points. The South West based-club nick-named Opopo conspicuously trashed Leopard 4-0 on December 21, 2022. It should be recalled that on match day 3 before break, Victoria United occupied the seventh position. The four goals scored by the team tells of their attacking prowess as well as the constructive and productive nature of their midfield that was capable of feeding the attackers.
