MTN Elite Two : Aigle Moungo Coming Strong

Racing Football Club of Bafoussam continue their unbeaten run and seize back the top position on the standings after day seven matches of the MTN Elite Two Championship played on Sunday January 8, 2023 in stadiums across the country. But what stands out after this playing day is the fact that newly-promoted club, Aigle Royal of Moungo continue to rub shoulders with old folks and make progress on the standings. They beat previous leaders Foncha Street 2-1 at home to clinch additional three points that raised them to the second place with 13 points; same number of points like Racing that hold the first position but separated by goal difference. The game could be classified the top match of the day as it pitted the then first (Foncha Street) against the third (Aigle) but the boys from the Littoral emerged victorious. This performance makes Aigle a serious contender to their future opponents that will have to think out of the box to distort the compact and coordinated nature of the Littoral-based team.
