UNIFFAC Tournament : Competition Opens In Limbe Today

Four out of five teams expected are taking part in the tournament that will run till January 18, 2023.

The UNIFFAC tournament begins today January 12, 2023 in the seaside resort city of Limbe with matches scheduled at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in Ngeme. Ahead of the competition, the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon are ready for the challenge. Due to the withdrawal of the DR Congo, the dates of the Tournament of the Union of Central African Football Federations (UNIFFAC) have been revised. The competition will now be held from January 12 to 18.
Initially scheduled for January 12 to 24, 2023, the UNIFFAC U17 tournament has undergone changes to the dates of the competition. Due to the withdrawal of DR Congo as a result of multiple cases of expulsion of players following MRI examinations, the tournament organizers have changed the dates of the competition. The sub-regional tournament will now be played from January 12 to 18 in Limbe, Cameroon. Chad, Congo, CAR and Cameroon, the host country, will vie for the only two qualifying places for the next U17 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Algeria from April 8 to 30.
