U-23 AFCON Qualifiers : Cameroon Continues Polishing Up

The team preparing ahead of the double-header against Gabon by month end played an evaluation friendly over the weekend.

Cameroon has just one last bend to negotiate its participation in the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and that is the double-header against fellow Central African side, Gabon this month end. Knowing that a win on aggregate takes them directly to Morocco is motivating the team led by Head Coach Guy Feutchine to be on its toes in terms of preparation. The U-23 Lions had an evaluation friendly match over the weekend to test what had been taught since the start of the training camp which began on February 23, 2023. The game played on Saturday March 11, 2023 at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo against AS Fortuna of Mfou saw the U-23 Lions triumph 3-0. 
But before the encounter, the Head Coach, Guy Feutchine is reported to have told the players in the technical meeting to be at their best because it is going to be platform to select the players that will defend the colours of the country given that foreign-based players will be joining the camp. It is with this challenge that the players took to the field, knowing that a good performance will guarantee their place in the squad.
