Promoting Culture : Majesty Fontem Puts Lebang Hall Foundation

The Lebang people of Lebialem Division in the South West Region are mobilizing to construct a befitting hall in Buea, the regional capital, for their cultural expression. To mark the beginning of intensive works on the house project, the Paramount Ruler of Lebang-Fontem, His Majesty Fon Fontem Asabaton was in Buea Sunday, 9 July, 2023, to launch contributions towards the realization of the dream.
His Majesty Fon of Fontem made an on-the-spot contribution of CFA 500,000 to enable the quick start of the works. He called on all sons and daughters of Lebang, their friends and sympathisers from far and near to put their hands on deck to make the project a reality in a sooner than later span of time. As the Ruler placed the foundation stone on the site, he implored the Almighty God to make the house a place of peace, unity and progress. He wished a grease of elbows for his people to bring to fruition the project that will facilitate the harmony, development and prosperity of Lebang people from within and without.
Fon Fontem noted that when completed, the project would be a facelift for Buea, their Regional capital, a pride for Lebang and Lebialem people, a resource centre for researchers, and a recreational spot for tourists.
