National Association of Cameroonian Footballers : Activities Officially Launched

This was during a ceremony presided at by the First Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Céline Eko on behalf of the FECAFOOT boss on July 15, 2023 in Yaounde.

Cameroonian footballers now have another association to adhere. It is the National Association of Cameroonian Footballers. Officially created on May 24, 2023, the activities of the association were officially launched on July 15, 2023. This was during a ceremony chaired by the First Vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Céline Eko, on behalf of the FECAFOOT boss, Samuel Eto’o Fils. The ceremony brought together several legendary footballers as well as other key dignitaries.
Talking during the event, the President of the Association, Lucien Mettomo, revealed that the Association brings together “all those who have played or are playing football in our country or abroad. It concerns them all, of all generations, without distinction”.
He stated that the objective of the association is to among others, cultivate the principles of solidarity and togetherness between footballers, to support the players and create a convivial framework for meetings and reflections. He equally underlined that one of the goals of the association is to collaborate with similar associations pursuing similar objectives.
