Bertrand Mendouga Steps Aside

Nigeria’s Omo Agege Siena Azania will reportedly sit in awaiting fresh elections in September.

Cameroon’s Bertrand Mendouga is said to have stepped aside from his post as president from the African Boxing Confederation. This was reportedly the outcome of the Executive Committee meeting that took place in Yaounde on August 5, 2023. The meeting held on the sidelines of the just-ended African Boxing Championship at the Warda Sports Complex. Nigeria’s Omo Agege Siena Azania will reportedly sit in awaiting fresh elections in September. Omo Agege is the vice president of the AFBC. 
Bertrand Mendouga is no more boss of the Cameroon Boxing Federation since the creation of a normalization committee to manage the affairs of the federation. Mendouga was elected President of the African Boxing Federation by 21 votes from the 41 African delegates constituting the elective general assembly.
