MTN Elite One : Dynamo-Union To Steam Douala

It is one of the day nine encounters of the competition billed in stadiums across the country this weekend; a playing day which marks the end of the first phase.

According to general programme of the 2023-2024 edition of the MTN Elite One Championship, Day-9 marks the end of the first phase of the competition. Matches of this playing day are billed in stadiums across the country this weekend. Only one match is billed for Monday November 27, 2023. 
In Pool A, the economic capital is definitely going to be heated up with the Douala-derby pitting Dynamo against Union. The game is billed at the Douala Reunification Stadium as from 5 p.m. Dynamo is first on the standings and is mathematically winners of the first phase with 17 points. No matter the outcome of second-placed Bamboutos’ (13 points) game on this ninth playing day, the club cannot catch up with Dynamo. Union of Douala sits on the fourth position with 11 points and will be very determined to give Dynamo a tough time.  Another electrifying fixture will see Bamboutos log horns against Les Astres at the Mbouda Stadium as from 3 p.m. on Sunday. Bamboutos that suffered a humiliating 3-5 defeat against Colombe on match day 8 will be struggling to recover with a win against Astres. Colombe on its part will hope to continue on winning ways in the game against Aigle Royal of Menoua. It should be said that Aigle Royal of Menoua recently parted ways with Coach Olivier Nankam.
