“His Word” : Finding Silver Lining Amidst Trials

The official premiere for one of the Cameroonian movie industry’s latest productions, “His Word” is billed for May 2024. The film highlights the struggles of a woman named “Ruth” in committing to her covenant with God. 
Christians say, trusting in God’s word to turn situations around in their favour remains a top struggle for them despite their steadfast belief. Mindful of this, Cameroonian film director, Frankline Nwochuze and his production label, FNS Movies, thought to bring together a cast of actors in his newest project “His Word” showcasing how far a mother, Ruth, is willing to go to save her son, Matthew. The character Ruth is embodied by Solange Timah, 38, who is a professional stylist who has been acting since 2007. “With such a delicate storyline, I needed a protagonist who could convey all the emotions on set,” said the producer. 
The movie depicts the suffering of Ruth, a mother who makes a covenant with God in order to save her son from a demonic enchantment. The movie shows Ruth’s journey to trusting in God to come through for her even when the lines seem blurry. Through the movie, Frankline Nwochuze is thus encouraging people to “trust in the unfailing power that exists in the word of God as he uses Ruth’s situation as a point of contact to those sharing her plight worldwide.”
