2024-2025 Professional Championships : Administrative Preparations On Course

Away from the clubs, the Cameroon Football Federation is already on its heels to organize a better football season.


The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) is taking proactive steps to ensure a smooth and successful 2024-2025 season for the MTN Elite One and Two Championships. Determined to see continuous improvement in the prestigious leagues, FECAFOOT has already begun ironing out administrative loopholes that could potentially disrupt the upcoming season.
A key strategy is the recently released marketing and media charter, outlining a set of regulations for all involved parties. This includes amongst other things, clear guidelines for jersey designs, such as player name placement and logo positioning. Additionally, the charter mandates that officials and technical staff on the bench wear official club attire during matches, with specific dress code requirements for head coaches, specifically a suit.
Focusing on player promotion, the media charter emphasises fostering a "star" image for players and coaches, aiming to generate increased public interest and attract sponsors and partners.
The Cameroon Football Federation has in another circular, called on clubs to provide contact details of their administrative secretaries who are also administrators of their FIFA connect accounts. The deadline for this was on July 15, 2024. Match officials including match commissioners, referees and assistant referees, as well as rapporteurs of the medical commission, were equally given until July 15, 2024 to send their contact details.
