Cameroon-Egypt : Joint Commission Focuses on Intensifying Ties

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella is leading the Cameroonian delegation at the 7th joint commission on bilateral cooperation holding in Cairo.
For two days, officials of Cameroon and Egypt are deliberating on intensifying cooperation ties within the framework of the 7th joint commission on bilateral relations holding in Egypt. External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella is leading the Cameroonian delegation at the deliberations that began yesterday November 5, 2024 and end today November 6, 2024. Focus on the high-level meeting, holding after the last in April 2010 in Yaounde, is to examine various areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and strengthen them for the wellbeing of the peoples of the two countries. It should be noted that the 7th joint commission is holding after the authorisations of President Paul Biya of Cameroon, and his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fatah Al-Sissi.
Presenting the perspectives of Cameroon at the gathering, External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella noted that they rest on three cardinal points which include; reinforcing economic cooperation through the organisation of Cameroon-Egypt Business Fora, inviting Egyptian economic operators to Cameroon and the putting in place of new cooperation frameworks. Stating that Cameroon and Egypt cooperate at the economic front in multilateral institutions such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the African Continental Free Trade Area, and the World Trade Organisation, the Minister said Cameroon remains open to further intensifying economic ties and boost trade.
