Government-Catholic Church Symbiosis : Buea Bishop Lauds MINFI For Exonerations On Duties

His Lordship Michael Bibi on Wednesday January 15, 2025, received the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motase at the Small Soppo Cathedral on the sidelines of the launching of operations of the State budget for the 2025 Fiscal Year.


The relationship between the government of Cameroon and the Roman Catholic Church remains cordial and it is being intensified through diverse ways. To illustrate this entente between the two entities, the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze paid a courtesy visit to the Bishop of Buea, His Lordship Michael Bibi on January 15, 2025 on the sidelines of his working visit to  Buea where he launched operations of the State budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
Speaking to reporters after the audience, the Bishop of Buea disclosed that he was elated to know the Minister of Finance was coming to Buea to launch the State budget which he described as very important. The visit of Minister Louis Paul Motaze to the Bishop House came barely days after the 48th Annual Seminar of Cameroon’s Bishops hosted by the Buea Diocese. Their discussion therefore centred on the just-ended Episcopal Conference and the support of the government to the diocese.
