2025 Mount Cameroon Race : Mofor Jeremiah, Hope Of South West!

Andre Eteki Njoh, President of South West Athletic Federation, has said Mofor Jeremiah is the hope of the South West Region in the 30th edition of Mount Cameroon Race of Hope. The race is billed for February 22, 2025 in Buea. Mofor Jeremiah from Dibanda village (Mile 14) came first during the Mount Cameroon Test Race in Buea on January 18, 2025. It was organised for athletes of the South West Region. Eteki Njoh said Mofor has proven that he can stand the test of time and that they are ready for the challenge this time around.
Mofor Jeremiah said he was the second athlete on the summit during 29th edition of Mount Cameroon Race of Hope in 2024 but had challenges on descending. He was training three hours and realised he never had the energy to come down from the mountain. So, he is currently training five hours. “My problem last year for losing the race was descending. So I am working on it now. My dream is to emerge victorious on February 22, 2025,” he said.
On board the kick-off line in the Molyko Omnisports Stadium at 7:30 a.m. were 102 men (senior), 27 women (senior), 46 men (junior) and eight women (junior). Veteran category had 15 men and nine women summing up to 207 athletes. Mofor Jeremiah used 2h 17’10” to conquer the approximate 18 km with turning point at New Hut. ...
