Sustainable Development : Possible Structural Reforms Examined

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute had discussions with the Acting Director of Economic Development, Integration and Trade of the African Union, Dr. Patrick Ndzana Olomo on March 7, 2025.
Within the context of accelerating sustainable development, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on March 7, 2025 held talks with the Acting Director of Economic Development, Integration and Trade of the African Union, Dr. Patrick Ndzana Olomo. The two personalities also examined global shocks which are having an effect on the Cameroonian economy.
According to the African Union official, the objective is to ensure better collaboration between various stakeholders. “We discussed issues about the global economy and impact on the Cameroonian economy. We had the opportunity to look at the structural reforms that can be implemented in support of Cameroon’s drive towards economic growth and sustainable development. And the Prime Minister offered to work with the African Union Commission to continuously building a solid ground,” he stated. The Cameroonian-born official added they also spoke about different African financial institutions, of which Cameroon is hosting the African Monetary Fund, which is part of those institutions. Discussions between the two parties concluded on the global landscape and how to better leverage domestic resources for structural transformation.
