Rice Production : NW, West Agric Delegations On Frontline

The Delegates on March 5, 2025 signed three protocol partnership agreements with the Rice Value Chain Development Project.

Within the framework of the implementation of some activities of the Rice Value Chain Development Project, the institution’s Project Coordinator on March 5, 2025 signed three partnership agreements with the Regional Delegates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the North West and West Regions which are two of the three regions involved in the implementation of the project. 
The signing ceremony took place in Bamenda aimed at enabling the regional delegations to carry out some activities on behalf of the project. The three protocol partnership agreements included firstly, the sensitization and training of rice professional organizations, secondly the strengthening of capacities of decentralised structures, input dealers, private entrepreneurs having relevance in rice value chain and thirdly to sensitize, train and support gender mainstreaming and income generating activities for youths and women in the rice value chain. 
The project Coordinator Muluh Gregory told stakeholders present that all is set for effective kick off of the project this 2025. He added that the agreements have to be signed by all the three MINADER regional delegations including the North West, West and Far North  that are going to manage the activities of the project.
