Situation In Palestine : Cameroon Urges Improved Humanitarian Assistance

Minister Mbella Mbella on March 7, 2025 chaired the 20th extraordinary ordinary session of the Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah.
As Chair of the 50th Session of the Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Cameroon’s External Relations Minister Mbella Mbella presided the 20th ordinary session of the Council on March 7, 2025 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. On the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Iran and Pakistan, the meeting was held amid new developments in the Israeli-Palestine conflict, including calls for the displacements of Palestinians.
The opening remark of Minister Mbella Mbella called on member States to once again express their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people by providing them with the necessary humanitarian assistance and continuing efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to this outstanding conflict, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and regional peace initiatives. The Minister argued that improved solidarity and humanitarian assistance would be of great help to Palestinians who are experiencing a tough moment. Mentioning several international and regional peace initiatives, the Chair of OIC said there is an urgent need for individual and collective engagements towards sustainable calm in Palestine.
