2025 U-17 AFCON : Quarterfinalists Known

The teams that will play the quarterfinals of the ongoing U17 TotalEnergies AFCON in Morocco are now known. The list of quarterfinalists was completed after the last games in Groups C and D that took place on April 7, 2025. In group C, Tunisia beat Gambia 2-1 in their last group game at the Berrechid Municipal Stadium. Yassine Ben Mohammed and Anisse Saide scored for Tunisia. The result did not only qualify Tunisia for the quarterfinals but also for the World Cup in that category in Qatar in November. 
Tunisia finished on top of group C with seven points, two wins and one draw. Senegal beat Somalia 1-0 in their last group game at the Berrechid Stadium. Senegal is second with seven points. The two sides are separated by goal difference. Senegal joins Tunisia in qualifying for the World Cup. During the next round, Tunisia will play against Mali on Friday April 11, 20,25 while Senegal will take on Côte d’Ivoire on the same day. Despite their defeat, Gambia finished third in their group keeping their play-offs hope alive. 
In group D, the Elephanteaux of Côte d’Ivoire dominated Mali 4-2 who were already qualified to secure the last group D ticket to the quarterfinals. The two teams are qualified for the quarterfinals. In group A, Morocco and Zambia have qualified for the...
