KOICA, KAAC : 2025 Activities Kick Off With Sports Walk

Over 300 members from the Korea International Cooperation Agency and Alumni organizations answered present in Yaounde on April, 19, 2025.
As the sun rose over Yaounde on April 19, 2025, members of the Cameroon KOICA Alumni Association (KAAC) and representatives from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) laced up their snickers for a unique mission: a 5.5-kilometer sport walk to launch their 2025 activities. Held under the theme of unity and cooperation, the event wasn’t just about physical exercise, it was a symbolic gesture, reaffirming a longstanding bond between Cameroon and Korea.
The walk started at the National Printing Press, moving through the Municipal Lake, the Yaounde Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, Warda and the National Museum before circling back to the starting point. Participants paused at Cascades du Mfoundi for stretching and aerobic dance sessions to the rhythm of Cameroonian beats.
“This was a means to launch our activities for this year,” said Kim Sangchul, KOICA Country Director. “We came together to enjoy physical exercise and promote friendship between Korea and Cameroon,” he added.
