U16 Boys, Girls Afrobasket Qualifiers : Cameroon Makes Public Provisional Lists

The Cameroon Basketball Federation (FECABASKET) has announced the provisional lists for the U16 boys' and girls' national teams set to compete in the upcoming 2025 Afrobasket Qualifiers. The announcement was made during a press conference held in Yaounde on Friday, May 2, 2025. The qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Douala from May 13th to 18th, represent a crucial step for these young talents as they vie for a coveted spot to represent Cameroon on the continental stage at the U16 Afrobasket Championships.
In the girls' category, a total of 16 promising players have been called up from various basketball schools, clubs, and academies throughout Cameroon. Head coach Priscilla Mbiandja now faces the significant task of molding this group of young athletes into a cohesive unit capable of securing one of the qualification tickets. Among the selected players are Frederic Mbaha and Appolonie Ngono, both hailing from the prominent elite club FAP, who are expected to bring valuable experience to the squad.
