African Handball Clubs Cup Winners Cup : Cameroonian Teams Increase Preparations

The 41st edition of the African Handball Clubs Championship will take place in Cairo, Egypt, from May 12 to 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.  A total of 20 teams (10 men and 10 women) from the continent will take part in the competition that is organised by the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB). Four teams will represent Cameroon in the competition. They are TKC Handball Club of Yaounde and FAP Handball Club of Yaounde for the women’s category while Fondation André Nziko (FANZ) Handball Club and FAP Handball Club of Yaounde will represent the country in the men’s category. 
As part of preparations for the international event, a tournament called Tournament of Champions took place at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex yesterday, Wednesday May 7, 2025. Organised by the Centre Regional Handball League, the competition brought together all the four teams that will represent Cameroon at the African Handball Clubs Championship in Egypt. Two matches were programmed for yesterday’s tournament. In the women’s category, TKC Yaounde beat FAP Yaounde 24-20. In the men’s competition, FANZ Yaounde beat FAP Yaounde 20-16.
