Professional Wrestling : Alain Noudem Crowned World Champion

Alain Noudem and Cedric Talla emerged 2025 World and African Professional champions during the Professional Wrestling competitions that took place at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex on Saturday May, 24, 2025. The main events were the Professional African and World Wrestling fights. Hundreds of fans thronged the Warda Sports Complex to watch the competition. 
In the African Professional Wrestling championship, Cameroon's Champion Cedric Talla beat Ghanaian Samson Okpara in 15 minutes 42 seconds to grab the African light weight title.  Alain Noudem defeated European champion, Heddi Karaoui from France in a fight that lasted for 14 minutes to win the World Championship title. The competitions were preceded by three local fights which marked the end of the 2024/2025 professional wrestling season in Cameroon. The third and last local fight pitted Kassa Justin against Jiometio Valdem. Kassa Justin known as Le Maboule won the tough battle in 6 minute 31 seconds. In the first two fights, Kana Hypolite beat Simen Guy in 5 minutes 17 seconds while Serge Barka won Ousmano in 4 minutes 47 seconds. 
The Secretary General of the Confederation of African Professional Wrestling, Olusesan Olukoya said the confederation has organised events in over five countries but the event in Cameroon is the best. He said the two events are up to standard. “It shows that we are equal to the tasks,” he said. He explained that four countries in Africa are doing good wrestling.
