Public Policies Reforms : North West Gives Proposals

The participatory meeting with public service users and stakeholders of the North West Region took place in Bamenda on May 30, 2025.

Public service users and stakeholders of the North West Region have made recommendations both to government through the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) and to public service users with a view to modernizing and improving service delivery to users. The recommendations concern particularly the realities of the North West Region hit by security crisis and endowed with a special status.
The contribution of the North West to the ongoing efforts to reform public policies implemented by MINFOPRA were made on May 30, 2025 during the participatory meeting with public service users and stakeholders of the region in Bamenda. The Secretary General at the North West Governor’s Office, Saidouna Ali presided at the meeting on behalf of the Governor. The meeting was just part of the national caravan organized by MINFOPRA with the “main objective to conduct a diagnosis of the public policies implemented at MINFOPRA and to present the new Logical Management of Staff and Salary Information System (AIGLES) as a tool to improve human resource management and administrative organization,” an explanatory text from MINFOPRA stated.
For proper understanding, MINFOPRA’s hierarchy dispatched senior officials from the central administration to drill the local service users and stakeholders, answer some of their worries on the spot and bring back recommendations for better public service delivery adapted to local realities.
