Miss World 2025 : Cameroonian In Top 20

The 72nd edition of Miss World Beauty pageant came to an end on May 31st at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Representing Cameroon at the event was 25-year-old Cameroonian model and former Miss Cameroon 2023, Marie Princesse Ndoun Issie. She participated in all stages of the event, which ran from May 7th to 31, 2025 in Hyderabad, Southern India. The Cameroonian model reached the top 20 semi-finals stage of the global competition before her elimination, making history, as this is the first time Cameroon has reached the semi-finals in eight years of participation. 
Cameroon made it to the Top 20 list alongside five other African countries, including Namibia, Nigeria, Tunisia, and Ethiopia. Ethiopia emerged overall first runner-up. During the competition, Ndoun Issie defended her country’s colours by emerging winner of the Multimedia Challenge, which tasked 20 selected finalists, five from each continent, with creating a powerful 90-second video.
