Sustainable Development: US Professor Says Africa Needs Trained Intellectuals

Professor James A. Robinson was speaking at the University of Dschang, June 4, 2025, lecturing on the Africa ontology society and hopes for future development.

Professor James A. Robinson, a US-based University professor, researcher, and economist, one of the laureates of “Prix Nobel d’Economie 2024”, says constructive resource management rules, leadership capacity, can be achieved in Africa, by simply training intellectuals who can develop information technologies to better socio-economic network. This, he said, will equally help to measure and monitor depletion of assets. Professor James A. Robinson was speaking at the University of Dschang on June 4, 2025, while presenting the ontology of the African society with reference to the Cameroonian economy. He said Cameroon in particular and Africa in general, have the resources that are key to sustainable livelihoods, adding that sustainability simply implies, maintaining or improving renewables assets for future generations. Professor James A. Robinson stressed that Africa should train intellectuals so that they can improve on their knowledge and skills, build leadership capacity for better resource management. By doing so, he stated that Africa will pick up and have sustainable development that will make them less dependent on the Western world and that will equally attract foreign investors to invest in Africa.
