Constitutional Council : Monique Ouli Ndongo Takes Oath Of Office

Newly appointment member of the Constitutional Council, Monique Ouli Ndongo has taken her oath of office during the 5th Congress of Parliament chaired by Cavaye Yeguie Djibril in the presence of several personalities, amongst them the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute.
Appointed on April 8, 2025 by the President of the Republic, for a six-year mandate, Monique Ouli Ndongo in accordance with Section 51(1) of the Constitution, Article 16 of the Standing Orders of Parliament in Congress and Article 3(1) of the April 21, 2004 law establishing the status of members of the Constitutional Council, was sworn-in during a solemn session of Parliament in Congress before she officially assumed office. Facing the national flag with her right hand up, left hand in white gloves and placed on the Constitution, she pledged in the words; “I swear that I will faithfully and diligently discharge my duties in an impartial manner, in accordance with the Constitution, uphold the confidentially of deliberations and votes, not to take any public position, not to give any consultation on matters within the competence of the Council.” By so doing, she now joins the eleven-man team of the Constitutional Council, which has as one of its missions, going by Section 48 of the Constitution, to ensure the regularity of Presidential elections, parliamentary elections and referendum operations, and proclaimed the results thereof.
Born in 1958 in Batouri in the East Region, she replaces Emmanuel Bonde of the same region who died on January 3, 2025.
