Reception of Candidacy Documents : ELECAM South West Is Ready

Following the convening of the Electoral College by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, on July 12, 2025, for Cameroon’s Presidential election for October 12, the South West Regional Delegation of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) has affirmed its full readiness to receive candidacy files from aspirants.
According to the Regional Delegate of ELECAM, Zofoa Njoya, all logistical and administrative measures have been put in place to guarantee a transparent, inclusive, and efficient process. The regional branch is operating under the strict directives of the Directorate General of Elections to ensure compliance with the legal deadline of July 21 and the equal treatment for all potential candidates. As part of the measures, forms are available at the regional office for both independent aspirants and those endorsed by political parties. The regional ELECAM office is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., where trained staff are on hand to guide candidates through the file submission process. Zofoa Njoya emphasised that the Commission is committed to assisting all aspirants to meet legal and administrative obligations while avoiding last-minute pressure.
