Local Administration : NASLA Graduates Fresh Municipal Police Trainees

The 182 municipal police agents received their end-of-course attestations at the Police Training Centre in Mutengene on July 1, 2025 with a call on them to uphold professionalism.
The National School of Local Administration (NASLA) in collaboration with the Mutengene Police Aptitude and Training Centre (CIAP) has graduated the 2nd batch of Municipal Police Agents. The 182 municipal police agents, the first to be trained by CIAP Mutengene, were drawn from Councils in different regions Cameroon. After three months of intensive training on municipal policing, they received their end-of-course testimonials on July 1, at the ceremonial ground of CIAP Mutengene in the presence of the Director-General of NASLA, Tanyitiku E. Bayee, the Commander of the Mutengene Police Training Centre, Commissioner Dr. Nith and the representative of the Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, among others.
Addressing the trainees, the Director General of NASLA drew their attention to the fact that major challenges await them in the field, alluding to the fight against urban disorder, for instance. For the 146 men and 36 women to surmount these challenges, Mr. Tanyitiku prescribed the scrupulous respect of ethics and deontology of the municipal police as well as respect of human rights of citizens. The Senior Civil Administrator also admonished the trainees to privilege dialogue, sensitization and education of the population while upholding professionalism in order to navigate the challenges of municipal policing.
