Sambo Cup of Cameroon : Mboa Sambo Club, Amasia Are Winners

The BEAC Sports Complex in Mvan, Yaounde was the venue of the 2025 edition of the Sambo Cup of Cameroon. Organised by the Cameroon Sambo Federation (FECASAMBO), the competition brought together over 200 athletes from clubs across the country. The competition unfolded in the men’s and women’s categories. The athletes competed for medals in sambo sports and sambo combat in several categories. 
Thousands of supporters from Yaounde and elsewhere thronged the BEAC Sports Complex to encourage the athletes. It was equally an opportunity to detect young talents. The athletes put up remarkable performances. After several hours of competition Amasia Sambo Club emerged winners in the women’s category. They were followed by Mboa Sambo Club and FAP Sambo Club; all Yaounde-based clubs. In the men’s category, Mboa Sambo Club was the strongest. The Armed Forces and Police team, FAP Sambo Club was second and Chamba Sambo Club (CHS) was third. 
The President of the Cameroon Sambo Federation, François Mbassi expressed satisfaction with the performances of the athletes and also the huge number of teams that participated. He said he believes that the competition helped to improve the level of the federation both technically an administratively.
