Cameroon’s Embassy In USA : Toghu Marathoner Honoured

The celebrated long-distance runner, affectionately known as “The Toghu Marathoner” from Bui Division in the North West Region, visited Cameroon’s Embassy in the United States of America to present his outstanding collection of medals and trophies from his international career. Dressed in the iconic “Toghu” regalia, a richly embroidered traditional outfit that has become a signature attire in Cameroon, Fondzenyuy has now completed 19 official marathons across six continents, covering more than 757 kilometers. His ground-breaking achievements include a Guinness World Record for completing the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors, capped off in Tokyo in the Toghu regalia. 
It was his recent feat in Antarctica, one of the world’s most exhausting marathon environments, that made him stand out. Facing fierce winds and frigid temperatures, Fondzenyuy ran not just for his personal glory or fame, but to contribute to the cause of inclusive education in Cameroon. His goal, he revealed, is to raise awareness and funds to build a school for children with special needs in Cameroon.  “This is more than running, it is about making a difference,” Fondzenyuy said.
