National Issues : Presidential Magazine Gives Spotlight

The latest publication of the Civil Cabinet captures the activities of the Head of State and other high-level events for the first six months of 2025.
Activities of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, as well as other remarkable national events spanning the period January to June 2025 can be read in the latest edition of the Presidential magazine. The 184-page document is a bilingual publication of the Civil Cabinet. The latest edition of the magazine opens with an editorial on the October 2025 Presidential election, calling on Cameroonians to allow the vitality of the country’s democracy to flourish. Acknowledging the already very active political landscape, the publisher of the magazine who is the Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, urges Cameroonians not to take the Presidency of the Republic to serve as a testing ground for self-proclaimed visionaries, especially given that the office demands the embodiment of strategic foresight, institutional and political acumen. “Hence, the citizen-voter must never lose sight of their huge responsibility in selecting a candidate who can genuinely incarnate our institutions, who possesses a deep understanding of the workings of the State, and who is fully committed to the Republic. The individual must be prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty without ever compromising it,” partly reads the editorial.
A huge portion of the publication focuses on the 53rd National Day, celebrated throughout the national territory and in Cameroon’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad on May 20, 2025. Over 30 pages of the document are dedicated to the event which had the President of the Republic presiding over and later offering a reception, together with the First Lady, Chantal Biya. From the pictures, one sees the President of the Republic, who is equally the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces, reviewing the troops and the honours paid to him by them.
