Professor Basile Njei's distinguished academic and professional journey commenced at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaounde I, where he graduated with honors as a Doctor of Medicine. Now, he stands as a globally acclaimed leader in the health sector, renowned for his expertise in academic medicine, public health, artificial intelligence, ethics, and entrepreneurship. As a beacon in innovation and progress, Professor Njei remains steadfast in his commitment to promoting equitable healthcare and revolutionizing health systems, with a particular emphasis on his native Cameroon.
Currently based in the United States, Professor Basile Njei serves as Co-Director of the Yale International Medicine Programme and holds the esteemed position of Fulbright Specialist in Public Health/Global Health. Additionally, he is a distinguished Professor of Global Health and Bioethics at EUCLID University, a prominent intergovernmental institution and key partner of the United Nations system. Professor Njei's remarkable accomplishments and global accolades have not deterred him from his mission to give back to his homeland.
