Diaspora : Lions' Performance Honoured

Several Cameroonian players have been nominated for the Player-of-the-Month award, while others have bagged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title.

Cameroonian players abroad are consistently making headlines for their outstanding performances in top football leagues worldwide. In England, Bryan Mbeumo has been nominated for Manchester United’s Player of the Month for October award. The nomination came after Mbeumo, the team’s top scorer of the season, netted three goals in a month. Amazingly, the 26-year-old Cameroon international forward’s performance contributed to the Reds’ three wins from three matches against Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton & Hover Albion in the Premier League games of October.  
Meanwhile, Christian Kofane, a 19-year-old Cameroonian striker for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, has been nominated for the Rookie of the Month award for October 2025. This distinction recognizes the rising stars of the German league. On October 4, 2025, the agile forward scored his first Bundesliga goal against Union Berlin, confirming the potential he had shown in Spain. 
In view of individual honours, André Frank Zambo Anguissa and Karl Etta Eyong have etched their names in history. Midfield powerhouse Zambo Anguissa continues his stellar form in Italy following Napoli's 1-0 win against Lecce on match day 9 of the Serie A. The Indomitable Lion's fourth goal of the season earned him his fifth Man-of-the-Match award after several wins in Napoli's matches against Cagliari, Fiorentina, Genoa, Inter Milan, and now Lecce.
