Appointed in November 2025, the head coach from Romania says he does not want to only participate, but to compete in Morocco.

The head coach of the Zimbabwean senior men's national football team, Marian Mario Marinica wants to make a statement in Morocco.  He was appointed by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), on a one-year contract starting on November 4, 2025, specifically to lead the team in the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations. This appointment followed the departure of the previous coach, Michael Nees, after Zimbabwe's disappointing performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
