Indonesia Ambassador Agung Hails SOPECAM

How can the Indonesian Embassy in Yaounde and the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM), work hand-in-glove? This question was at the centre of discussions during an audience accorded the Indonesian Ambassador to Cameroon, Agung Cahaya Sumirat by the Director General of the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM), Madam Marie Claire Nnana at the Corporation’s headquarters in Yaounde. For over two-hours, both personalities after a warm welcome from SOPECAM GM scanned through the salient domains that can help put in place a win-win cooperation and strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Cameroon and Indonesia. 
Amongst the issues discussed were trade, exchange visits, technology, e-commerce and agriculture. H.E. Agung, who is the first Indonesian Resident Ambassador to Cameroon assured her host that the doors of Indonesia are readily open to receive Cameroonians. He said during his stay in Cameroon, his focussed will not only be on exports, but also on how to establish investment partnerships that would benefit both nations. He added that even though Cameroon, is well known in the domain of football with players like, Roger Milla, Samuel Eto’o raising the country’s flag, a handful of business persons are already waxing strong in Indonesia. Especially during the October 15-19, 2025 Expo in Jakarta during which Cameroon trade prowess was exhibited and several agreements signed.
