Youth Connekt Cameroon Convention : Preparations On High Gear

The second expanded planification meeting with partners and stakeholders was chaired on November 26, 2025 in Yaounde by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou.

The 6th edition of the Youth Connekt Cameroon Convention (YCCC) is officially on track, following a final preparatory meeting held on November 26, 2025 at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC). Slated for December 8-13, 2025, at the National Museum and the Yaounde Conference Center, this year's convention tackles youth employability and digital careers. Convened under the theme “Artificial intelligence and the Socio-Economic integration of youths: Opportunities and challenges”, the MINJEC’s Minister Mounouna Foutsou in his inaugural speech explained that this year’s session is positioned to be an impactful event, that directly responds to the youth employment and opportunity promises reiterated by the Head of State Paul Biya during his recent septennate swearing-in ceremony.
Beyond creating a platform for youths to network with idols in varied professional ranks, the 6th edition of the YCCC is expanding its scope, with the number of young entrepreneur beneficiaries increasing from 300 to 600. According to Minister Mounouna Foutsou, this year’s major innovation is the heightened focus on youth excellence, including honoring laureates of national examinations, hosting the School Innovation Challenge, the Student Entrepreneur Challenge, Miss SIPROME-Jeunes 2025, and the Icon of Youth Entrepreneurship 2025; all aimed at detecting and promoting young role models.
