David Pagou : Baptism Of Fire

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, to say the least, will be going to the Africa Cup of Nations amid high expectations. Hopes are high that Head Coach David Pagou, appointed just on December 1, 2025 with his first mission to lead the team to this prestigious competition, will live up to these expectations. He is no stranger to the team as he served as deputy to Marc Brys and has been in the circles of the squad for a while.
Born in 1969, the coach is well-respected within Cameroon's local football circles, but little known outside of the country. This will be his first head coach role in international football, and he starts with a TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals. He was recently appointed coach of Coton Sport of Garoua, the most successful club in the country in terms of the local football championship, the MTN Elite One.
