Two AFCON heavyweights collide in Rabat, each desperate to book a place in the final of the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.
Football fans across Africa are in for a treat as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semifinals light up Morocco today, headlined by the blockbuster clash between Nigeria and host Morocco. They square off at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat this January 14, 2026, with just one reward on offer: a place in the final of Africa’s biggest football stage.
For Nigeria, this is a chance to lift national spirits after missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Super Eagles are hunting a fourth AFCON crown and their first since 2013, still smarting from defeat to hosts Côte d’Ivoire in the last final.
