54th National Day: CT Launches Countdown

As build up to the 54th edition of Cameroon’s National Day to be celebrated on May 20, 2026 under the theme, “National Unity: Backbone of our Defence System, Bedrock of Cameroon’s Development,” Cameroon Tribune begins a countdown. Through special pages dedicated to the Day that constitutes a historic milestone in the history of the country, the national bilingual daily will draw full length to ensure that its readers are served with up-to-date information on preparatory activities by all the stakeholders from North to South and East to West. Besides different military and civilian rehearsals, the countdown will also comprise strides made in the country’s socio-economic development thanks to the increasingly solidifying Army-Nation bond as well as practical realities of living together in some parts of the national triangle. A moment to showcase Cameroon’s richness in her linguistic and cultural diversity! In effect, as concerns planning, the special pages will have daily field reports and interviews on the military and civilian preparations in all ten regions of the country.
