Improving Connectivity: New Telecom Site Available

The site was inaugurated on April 29, 2026 in Japoma.

In a bit to ensure that everybody in Cameroon, even those in the most remote areas, get good connections, Camusat Group, in partnership with MTN Cameroon, on Wednesday April 29 inaugurated a new-generation telecom site in Japoma Douala Powered by Camusat’s Twesco model. The project represents a major step forward in the deployment of sustainable and integrated digital infrastructure in the region. The inauguration ceremony in Japoma was attended by Richard Thomas, President & CEO of Camusat Group; Karim Chekroun, Managing Director of Camusat Cameroon; Wanda Matandela, CEO of MTN Cameroon; as well as representatives from local authorities and members of the community. According to the companies, the Twesco approach marks a shift away from conventional infrastructure rollouts toward a more integrated, longterm deployment model. By combining financing, deployment, and operations, the Twesco framework is designed to deliver connectivity solutions that are not only reliable and scalable, but also associated with a lowercarbon environmental footprint. The new site is intended to meet rising demand for mobile data and improved network coverage.
