North West: Councils Trained To Secure Digital Space

This was during a three-day capacity building workshop organised by the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies in Bamenda.
A dministrators of all the 35 Councils of the North West have been trained on infor mation and communication tech nologies, with particular attention on the safety of the digital space. This was during a three-day buil ding workshop organised by the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies in Bamenda from July 15-17, 2026. The IT administrators gained digital skills which will enable them leve rage the transformative potential of ICTs in their daily operations to drive productivity and enhance pu blic service delivery to their various councils. Held under the theme "Local De velopment In the Era of Digital Transformation ", the Director Ge neral of the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC) Prof. Ebot Ebot Enaw revealed that there are three key pillars of digital trans formation involving people, pro cesses and technology. He noted that the maturity of these three models has to happen simulta neously. He disclosed that the workshop aligns with ANTIC’s mis sion to promote and follow up go vernment’s actions in the field of ICT.
