Inclusive Development : FCFA 19 Billion Concord Int’l Hotel Inaugurated

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on behalf of the Head of State officially opened the five-star edifice for public use on September 30, 2025.
At the behest of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on September 30, 2025 inaugurated the Concord International Hotel, a five-star structure built by the Association of Treasury Staff (MUTRESOR).
The construction cost of the building is estimated at FCFA 19 billion and is a ten-floor building with two underground floors. It is situated at the Olezoa neighbourhood in the Yaounde III Subdivision and occupies a surface area of more than 3,800m2.
To the Prime Minister, the structure which he refers to as an architectural marvel is indeed an emblematic project and the inauguration was an occasion to celebrate its completion. In his words, the project spearheaded under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, is far more than just a hotel building. “It embodies the philosophy of governance, one of a State that fosters pooling of resources, responsible investment and the transformation of its administrations into drivers of sustainable development. It gives concrete expression to the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, for an emerging, united and economically resilient Cameroon by 2035,” Joseph Dion Ngute stated. The Head of Government added that the project is a testament to budget discipline by the Association of Treasury Staff as their steadfast efforts have been completed. While noting that the hotel will definitely host national and international events, the Prime Minister added that the completion and inauguration of the hotel will reinforce the modernisation policy of government contained in the National Development Strategy (NDS30). He concluded by urging a professional management to guarantee durability.
Giving more details on the project, the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze said they are celebrating the hard work of the staff of the Directorate General of the Treasury, Financial and Monetary Cooperation.
