Mbama-Messamena Road : Circulation More Secured, Easy

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on October 5, 2025 officially commissed the 49,5km stretch constructed at FCFA 33 billion 221 million.

Indeed, where a road passes, development follows.  The people of Mbama-Messamena of the Upper Nyong Division in the East Region now testify to that fact following the construction of a 49,5km road. Accompanying amenities like electricity and access to basic services are being guaranteed. The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on October 5, 2025 presided at the commissioning of the road. It is a double carriage stretch with all necessary road signs and tarmac indications. An axes of the National Road No 10, construction is said to have commenced in October 2014 and completed in May 2024, thus an execution duration of 75 months 18 days. A provisional reception was done on August 22, 2024. The total construction cost is estimated at FCFA 33 billion 221 million with the Ministry of Public Works as project owner.  The road is constructed and controlled by the enterprise "Bec la Routière Sarl." 
The 49.5km road is broken down as follows; Mbama-Messamena (38.7km) with the accompanying distances of Abong-Mbang (6,152km) and Messamena (4,285km). The road has four main layers. The foundation layer consists of lateritic gravel with à thickness of 25cm. The base layer contains crushed gravel of 0/31.5 capacity with a thickness of 15cm.
