Diplomacy : German Ambassador Promises Greater Cooperation

This was during a maiden audience between the Head of Mission, Christian Sedat and Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on October 3, 2025.
The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on October 3, 2025 granted an audience to the newly designated German Ambassador to Cameroon, Christian Sedat. It was the maiden meeting between the two personalities, following the presentation of the accreditation documents of the diplomat to the Minister of External Relations, on July 17, 2025.
In the course of the half-hour meeting at the Star Building, the Prime Minister and the German Ambassador reviewed cooperation ties between Yaounde and Berlin. In his statement to the press, the Head of Mission said nurturing relations for mutual benefits is his driving force. “It was a great privilege to be received by the Prime Minster, Head of Government. We talked about the relations which exist between Cameroon and Germany; Political relationships, economy and culture. This is very important for the German government and my intention as new German Ambassador to Cameroon is to work on all these issues and to advance the very good relations that exist,” Christian Sedat told reporters. He also appreciated the state of relations and the different achievement thus far.
The Prime Minister on his part noted that Cameroon values the relations it enjoys with Germany, especially given the fact that they are historical. Joseph Dion Ngute also stated government’s availability to collaborate with the Ambassador during his diplomatic assignment in Cameroo...
