North West: PURS Insists On The Next President, His Policies

Quietly and discreetly, his men and women are fast at work in the North West Region.


No public rallies, but only one-on-one engagement of voters. At home, in workplaces and social group meetings. No thanks to the security constraints in the region. “We have campaign teams on the ground in Kumbo, Bui Division; Nkambe, Tabenken in Donga-Mantung Division; Up Station, Bambili in Mezam Division; Ngie in Momo Division…” says Henry Chefon, North West Regional Coordinator of the People United for Social Renovation, PURS political party of presidential candidate, Serge Espoir Matomba. 
“We are quite aware of the insecurity and the shutdown of activities. This is why we opted for personal engagement of voters, for their safety and that of our campaign members,” Chefon explains. “Matomba has promised much for Cameroon if he gets elected as President – a truly independent and sovereign nation; a country with an identity and where the citizens have a sense of belonging… It is not just about “Biya must go!” but rather who will replace him, and with what policies,” Chefon argues.
