MMA : Gautier Ateba Strikes Again

The Cameroonian fighter beat Vines on October 4, 2025 in Las Vegas within the framework of the UFC 320 prelims; marking his third consecutive first-round stoppage win this year.

Gautier Ateba has continued his rapid rise in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight division by delivering a venomous first-round Technical Knock Out (TKO) victory over Tre’ston Vines on October 4, 2025 night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Closing out the UFC 320 prelims, Ateba stopped Vines at just 1 minute 41 seconds of round one, marking his third consecutive first-round stoppage win this year.
Vines, from the United States was a short-notice replacement to Ozzy Diaz, Ateba’s initial opponent. The fight started explosively when Vines attempted a telegraphed takedown early in the bout.  Ateba capitalized immediately, landing a punishing knee that visibly hurt his opponent. From there, the Manchester Top Team fighter showcased his raw strength and ground-and-pound skills, landing precise elbows to the side of Vines’ head as he defended against any further takedown attempts along the cage.
Ateba then muscled Vines down to the canvas, relentlessly pouring on strikes until the referee stopped the fight. Known as “The Silent Assassin,” the 23-year-old emerging middleweight continues to impress fans and analysts alike with his power and composure inside the octagon.
